Settling In
Please feel free to visit as often as you like before your child starts in order to help with the transition. We would expect a minimum of 3 visits before your child starts at Little Beans. The first visit will generally be arranged via management when completing your enrolment. The following visits will be arranged between you and your child's primary caregiver on your first visit.
We understand that parting with your child can be an anxious experience for both parent and child. The team at Little Beans are here to help make this process as easy as possible. Your child’s first visit should be arranged at a time when they will be able to freely play and explore the environment. Mid-morning or afternoon are often good times. Other visits aim to allow your child to experience our routine parts of the day like meals and sleeps. On your child's first official day please be prepared to stay for a short time. Some children settle in straight away while others take a little longer. With perseverance, patience, love and support your, child will find their sense of belonging. When you are ready to go, we recommend saying a quick goodbye to your child as lengthy goodbyes can make your eventual departure more difficult for your child. Your child’s primary teacher will be right there to reassure them and settle them into play. Your child is welcome to bring in a comfort toy from home, to help support them with this transition.
You are always more than welcome to ring or text us at any time to check on how your child is getting on.
